Twigs, Twine and Wool

image

When designing my sessions I believe that attention to the smallest details can make all the difference to provide a more sensory, multi layered, highly textured experience for our smallest artists.

Inspired by the principals of heuristic play, and the use of real objects that stimulate all the senses, I have made these ‘brushes’ from sticks and twigs I collected from a park, twine and rough wool. They are textured, have the warm scent of wool and are fun to use as well as being interesting objects to play with.

I will be using them for a painting workshop I am delivering next week in Birmingham  http://www.bmag.org.uk/events?id=2779
