Paper. Paper everywhere.

We all need space to think sometimes, moments when things get a bit too hectic and we crave calm, to daydream, to imagine.

Young children are offered so many stimulating materials; toys that flash, make noises. Not to mention the big wide world with all the sights sounds and smells that entails. The world is a pretty confusing and overwhelming place at times.

Like us all young children benefit from space, calm and opportunity to have an ‘asensory’ play experience.

A play session designed around paper and cardboard, simple and plain can give space for a childs imagination to soar… or just a little space, on their scale to sit in and take it all in.

Today at the Whitworth Art Gallery we offered a session based around this principal.
